A. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The overall purpose of this position is to guarantee that the Schools operation process and transactions follow relevant legal and internal guidelines, manage Schools legal procedure for network expansion projects and ensure internal compliance of employee towards the Schools regulations & policies. This position responsibilities including but not limiting to:
- Give legal consultation and follow all legal procedures relating to the School, research and update new laws and regulations relating to the Schools operation & businesses.
- Assist the BoD in legal advice, due diligence and regulatory/compliance aspect of network expansion projects, including prepare approval paper, review legal compliance of the project documentations, prepare and review relevant contract, follow up with authorities approval process.
- Drafting, review, and negotiate on day-to-day agreements; develop and update contract templates/forms as appropriate for current business activities of the School.
- Reviewing, recommending changes or creation, and provide annual training about the school&aposs Integrity & Compliance Policy and Guidelines.
- Provide advice on applicable laws and regulations to Departments & Division.
- Assist in drafting the internal processes and regulations of the School.
- Perform commercial contract management function at the School.
- Participating in the development of processes, methods to control compliance with processes and regulations at the School.
- Check, monitor, report/evaluate periodically/unexpectedly, thereby giving appropriate warnings and treatment/prevention plans, ensuring business activities and operational support are carried out. accordance with the rules and procedures of the School.
- Ensure internal compliance of employee towards the Schools regulations & policies; Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters; Assist in conducting internal compliance, training, and compliance training programs for employees.
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Schools Core Values and Code of Conduct.
- Perform other duties/ad-hoc as assigned by the direct Manager or BoD.
B.JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education
2. Experience (type of)
- At least 2 years experience in in-house legal counsel, preferred experience in project management (construction/ business development). Prior experience in education is a plus.
3. Specific knowledge/ skill
- Proficient in using office/ technology applications;
- Proficient in English;
- Good skills in drafting legal documents;
- Understanding of the key features of relevant laws and regulations relevant to business in general and private education in specific;
- Exemplary integrity, ethics, independence and resilience;
- Ready and open to challenges and learning.
