To realize this vision, VinMetal is developing the Vung Ang High-Tech Integrated Iron and Steel Complex under an integrated Mine – Seaport – Manufacturing Complex model. With a total investment of approximately VND 80 trillion and a designed production capacity of 20 million tonnes of steel per year, the project will embrace advanced technologies, digitalization, and international standards from its earliest stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the review, technical challenge, and final validation of design proposals submitted by Technology Suppliers.
• Take multidisciplinary technical ownership of the assigned process area, covering Process, Electrical & Automation, Mechanical & Piping, and Civil & Infrastructure.
• Ensure design consistency, feasibility, and optimization while identifying technical gaps and cross-disciplinary conflicts.
• Work closely with the Chief Engineer, Technology Suppliers, EPC/EPCM contractors, and other relevant stakeholders throughout the engineering design process.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the Steel/Metallurgy industry; BOF experience is preferred.
• Deep technical expertise in either Ironmaking or Coke Oven.
• Proven capability to conduct the final multidisciplinary technical review of design proposals before submission to the Chief Engineer.
• Strong preference for candidates with full design life-cycle experience, from Conceptual Engineering through Detailed Engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to directly develop, review, and validate designs across multiple engineering disciplines.
