Job Description

General Introduction

We are looking for talented Automation Test Engineers to join projects developing Board Support Packages (BSP) for some of the most powerful System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms in the automotive industry. Develop the Automation Framework for Linux BSP testing.

Key Responsibilities

Automated Test Development

  • Design and develop automated test suites for all BSP components, including ATF, U-Boot, Linux Kernel, and Hypervisor.

Hardware Driver Testing

  • Perform functional and performance testing for hardware drivers such as I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet (TSN), PCIe, GPU, USB, CAN-FD, and Storage (eMMC/UFS).
  • System Integration Testing
  • Conduct testing in virtualized environments (e.g., Xen Hypervisor) and across different operating system partitions.

Framework Development

  • Maintain and extend existing automation frameworks to optimize Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing processes.

Collaboration with Development Teams

  • Work closely with software developers to analyze requirements, reproduce defects, and verify bug fixes.

CI/CD Optimization

  • Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins/GitLab CI pipelines to ensure continuous code quality.

Technical Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Embedded Software Testing or Development.

System Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of Linux BSP architecture and SoC boot flow
  • Hands-on experience with U-Boot and ARM Trusted Firmware (ATF)
  • Experience with the Yocto Project (BitBake, recipes) for image building and filesystem customization

Automation Skills

  • Proficiency in Python (or Bash scripting) for test automation
  • Experience with frameworks such as Robot Framework, Pytest, or Labgrid/LAVA is a plus

Virtualization Technologies

  • Knowledge of Xen Hypervisor or automotive virtualization technologies is a strong advantage.
  • Hardware Skills
  • Ability to read schematics and use measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters when necessary.

Soft Skills & Additional Qualifications

  • Good ability to read and understand technical documentation in English
  • Strong logical thinking, attention to detail, and high responsibility for product quality
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or ASPICE is a plus
