Job Description

  • Lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and reporting of vehicle crash tests involving anthropomorphic test dummies.
  • Manage the preparation, installation, and calibration of test dummies, sensors, and instrumentation.
  • Supervise the collection, validation, and analysis of crash test data to assess occupant safety performance.
  • Collaborate with Safety Engineering, Design, and Test teams to define test protocols and improve dummy test methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with international safety standards and regulations (e.g., NCAP, FMVSS, ECE R94, R95).
  • Develop and implement improvements in dummy test procedures and data acquisition processes.
  • Lead root cause analysis and provide technical feedback to support vehicle safety enhancements.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians within the dummy test team.
  • Maintain and manage test equipment, dummies, and related resources efficiently.
  • Communicate results clearly to stakeholders and support safety certification documentation.

RequirementsEducation & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive crash testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Extensive hands-on experience working with crash test dummies, sensors, and data acquisition systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of anthropomorphic test devices (e.g., Hybrid III, THOR, WorldSID) and their instrumentation.
  • Proficient in crash data analysis software and techniques.
  • Familiarity with international crash test standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of vehicle safety systems and occupant protection technologies.

  • Strong leadership, team management, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety compliance.
