Job Description

The role will oversee and manage all hotel sales activities to maximize revenue potential especially in Korea market

Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Support

  • Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Korean market, including corporate groups, travel agencies, golf groups, VIP customers, and strategic partners.
  • Support the maintenance and growth of relationships with Korean agents, business partners, and key customers.
  • Assist in achieving departmental revenue and visitation targets through proactive sales and marketing activities.
  • Manage production and performance of existing Korean travel agency accounts, including room nights, revenue contribution, promotions, and business opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new Korean travel agencies and relevant travel partners to expand Korean market business.
  • Develop Korean market-specific hotel, golf, leisure, and integrated resort products and packages in coordination with relevant departments and partners.
  • Plan and coordinate FAM tours and site inspections for Korean travel agencies, corporate clients, MICE planners, and potential business partners.
  • Manage and follow up on Korean direct booking inquiries, coordinating with Reservations and relevant operational departments as required.
  • Manage existing Korean corporate accounts and develop opportunities for accommodation, meetings, events, incentive groups, golf, and other resort business.
  • Identify and secure new Korean corporate accounts and contracts in Vietnam and Korea to generate incremental non-gaming business.
  • Develop Korean MICE business, including meetings, incentive groups, conferences, events, and group travel.
  • Plan and prepare Korean-market roadshows, sales missions, agency visits, and related sales activation activities.

Event & Entertainment Support

  •  Support the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of concerts, sporting events, golf tournaments, VIP functions, and other special events.
  • Provide additional support for Korean concerts, performances, and Korean-market events as required, including coordination with internal departments and external partners.
  • Coordinate artist, guest, and VIP arrangements, including accommodation, transportation, dining, and event logistics.
  • Assist in preparing event reports, guest lists, promotional materials, and post-event evaluations.

Marketing & Communication Support

  • Assist in the preparation of marketing presentations, sales reports, business proposals, and management reports.
  • Support Korean-language content development, translation, and communication for marketing campaigns, promotions, and customer communications.
  • Assist in coordinating customer database management, SMS campaigns, and other direct marketing activities.
  • Develop and recommend online and offline marketing initiatives to attract more Korean customers and increase visitation, awareness, and engagement in the Korean market.

Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with Korean VIP customers and provide prompt assistance to customer inquiries and requests.
  • Support customer retention initiatives and follow-up activities to encourage repeat visitation and loyalty.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Liaise with Hotel Operations, Casino Marketing, VIP Services, Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Coordinate internal communications and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure timely completion of projects and requests.

Administrative & Reporting Support

  • Assist in preparing departmental budgets, forecasts, monthly reports, and performance analyses.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, visitation reports, and sales activity reports.
  • Work with VP of Korean Sales & Marketing to implement short and long range goals, objectives, policies and corporate driven operating procedures. Proactively communicate guidelines for staff that shapes the unparalleled standards expected.
  • Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes.
  • Participate in the development of The Grand Ho Tram marketing strategies to increase volume, market share, and hotel revenue, monitoring current booking trends and modifying marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Create awareness and actively sell and solicit all goods and services of The Grand Ho Tram through attendance at trade shows and other industry functions. Develop marketing suggestions to maximize The Grand Ho Tram occupancy and average rate during low seasonal periods.
  • Provide ongoing evaluation and account analysis. Know competitor's product and pricing. Meet or exceed room revenue and Food and Beverage quotas.
  • Solicit/contract group bookings, which are considered to fall within geographic or vertical market segment. Perform other necessary functions in relation to their groups on behalf of The Grand Ho Tram.
  • Travel as required by Department Head. Maintain close contacts with Travel Agents, Meeting Planners and corporate clients to ensure customer retention. 
  • Assist with developing group, event, and meeting packages for the property; create sample itineraries and pricing for each.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with Key Wholesalers.
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality business and 24-hour hotel operations, this role is not strictly limited to standard working hours. Flexibility is required to support business needs, events, client requirements, and operational matters outside regular working hours when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required and Higher Education is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 -5 years Sales experience in a premier luxury hotel/ resort in Korean market segments.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in the primary language of the workplace both verbally and nonverbally. Fluent in Korean/English is encourage/required (depending on guest contact level).
  • Proven successful sales record. Ability to structure sales quota goals and revenue expectation, while creating measurable results.
  • Ability to implement strategic plans.
  • Exemplary contract negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of market segmentation, yield and inventory management.
  • Ability to create and present visual and oral presentations.
  • Capacity to foster productive relations and communicate ideas, thoughts and direction in client and group meetings.
  • Excellent guest service skills. Ability to handle difficult or stressful situations with tact and diplomacy. Exercise confidentiality with hotel and guest data.
  • Adheres strictly to confidentiality agreements and other policies and procedures provided by the company and appropriate for the region.
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of the concept of luxury and hospitality.
