Design & Fit-out Manager (Vietnamese)

Key Responsibilities:

• Organize and chair all design review and other design related meetings with Client, Consultants and or Contractors
• Prepare, develop, and edit, under the guidance of the Project Manager, drawings, models, images, and other documents relating to the design
• Participate in constructability reviews regarding design coordination and completeness
• Consistently pursue on-time completion within budget through stages of the project
• Support the review and approval of architectural designs and specifications developed by project technical staff and other organizations (i.e, consultants, agencies, private developers) for construction
• Assist with preparation of bid documents and requests for proposals
• Participate in constructability reviews regarding design coordination and completeness.
• Manage resolution of all design related queries
• Coordinate value engineering and cost reduction expenses
• Manage RFIs, technical submittals/shop drawings and processes for structural and architectural disciplines with Consultants and Contractors
• Initiate and manage the procurement of design, construction and finishing operation
• Review consultant's drawings for cost effectiveness, practically so that it meets the Client's requirements and the economic feasibility of design. Coordinate and liaise with consultant on the delivery of drawings & technical submissions.
• Conduct site to ensure compliance to design intention
• Assist in preparation of reports to submit to Client
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High-rise construction experience; 5-Star Hotel Experience
• Solid understanding of the construction process and application of Structural Design and Engineering best practices
• Forward-looking and proactive; an ability to predict and mitigate future risks
• Good in communication skills required in both Vietnamese and English
• Strong computer skills and hands-on ability to utilize project management control systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture with Relevant Certifications and Licences as required by current legislation.
• 8 years experience as an architect and minimum 3 years related project design management experience specially in Commercial and Hospitals is required
