Deputy Tax Leader

Company Description

PVD Training & Industrial Solutions J.S.C. (PVD Training), a subsidiary of PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling), provides training and certification, manpower solutions, and technical services for the oil & gas and industrial sectors. PVD Training is currently recruiting a Deputy Tax Leader on behalf of one of our clients, an international company operating in the Oil & Gas industry in Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support overall tax compliance and tax accounting, including Royalty, Export Duty, CIT, VAT, FCWT and Business License Tax.

Support tax governance, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance.

Manage production allocation, production statements, reports, analysis and forecasts in accordance with PSC/JOA requirements.

Support the Tax Leader and supervise the Tax team.

Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including PVN, auditors, partners and tax authorities.

Monitor changes in tax regulations and identify potential tax optimization opportunities.

Requirements

Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on tax experience, particularly in tax compliance and tax accounting.

Strong knowledge of Vietnamese taxation, especially VAT, CIT, Royalty, FCWT and Export Duty.

Oil & Gas experience, particularly taxation and PSC production allocation, is highly desirable.

Good command of English and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

SunSystems experience is an advantage.

Strong communication, interpersonal and team supervision skills.
