Deputy Director of Design Management

Key Responsibilities

1.Design Review & Approval

• Lead and manage the review and approval of design documents, technical drawings, and specifications for projects located in the Southern Region (from Da Nang southward), ensuring compliance with technical standards, legal requirements, and the Company's internal guidelines.
• Ensure that all design deliverables meet the required quality standards, project objectives, and development strategies.

2.Consultant Management

• Monitor and coordinate the progress and quality of work delivered by design consultants, ensuring that project milestones and deliverables are achieved on schedule.
• Make timely decisions and provide guidance to consultants to ensure the successful execution of design activities.
• This position manages design consultants and does not oversee construction contractors.

3.Cross-functional Coordination

• Collaborate closely with Project Development, Real Estate Commercial, Marketing & Communications, and other relevant departments to ensure effective implementation of design management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate alignment among stakeholders and support the successful delivery of projects.

4.Design Governance & Quality Assurance

• Direct and oversee all design management activities across projects in the Southern Region.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, company standards, and technical requirements.
• Resolve design discrepancies and provide effective technical solutions when required.

5.Process Development & Continuous Improvement

• Develop, update, and implement design management procedures, workflows, and standards tailored to the characteristics of projects in the Southern Region.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend initiatives to enhance effectiveness and operational efficiency.

6.Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Build and develop an effective Design Management organization aligned with business needs and project workload.
• Provide leadership, coaching, training, and professional development opportunities for the Design Management team.
• Ensure the team possesses the competencies required to achieve departmental objectives.

7.Reporting & Additional Assignments

• Prepare periodic reports on Design Management activities for the Director of Design Management.
• Perform other duties and special assignments related to Design Management as requested by the Director of Design Management.

Qualifications & Requirements

1.Education

• Bachelor's Degree or above in Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.

2.Experience

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Architecture and Urban Planning.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale developments, including Grade I developments, integrated urban projects, and internationally branded 4-star and 5-star hospitality projects.
• Extensive experience throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept design and master planning through project completion and operational handover.

3.Technical Competencies

• Strong planning, organization, and project management capabilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Solid knowledge of Vietnamese building regulations, design standards, and planning requirements.
