Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning:
- Analyze historical sales data, sales trends, seasonality, product lifecycle, and other demand drivers to develop accurate sales forecasts.
- Build and maintain demand forecasts at SKU/store/category level, based on business requirements.
- Continuously review forecast accuracy and identify key forecast variances and root causes.
- Adjust forecasts based on market trends, new product launches, delistings, store openings/closures, and other business assumptions.
- Work closely with Sales, Commercial, and Marketing teams to understand promotional plans, campaigns, price changes, and commercial initiatives.
- Challenge and validate promotional forecasts based on historical promotion performance, uplift, cannibalization, and seasonality.
- Monitor actual sales during and after promotions and incorporate learnings into future forecasts.
- Translate demand forecasts into purchase plans considering inventory levels, lead time, MOQ, supplier constraints, and target stock cover.
- Prepare purchasing proposals and work with relevant stakeholders to obtain budget approval for purchasing activities.
Inventory & Stock Health Management:
- Track key inventory indicators including Stock Cover Weeks of Supply, Aging inventory, Overstock
- Provide regular inventory health reports and recommendations to management.
- Work closely with Stores and Warehouse teams to identify stock that should be returned, transferred, or redistributed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Must have 4+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, preferably within Retail, FMCG, Beauty, Consumer Goods, or E-commerce.
- Strong experience working with Sales and Commercial teams on demand and promotional planning.
- Experience in purchasing and inventory planning with budget considerations.
- Experience managing multi-SKU and multi-store retail environments is preferred.
- Good understanding of forecasting methodologies, seasonality, promotional uplift, inventory management, and supply planning.
- Proficiency in Excel and planning tools; experience with ERP or demand planning software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capability to work under time constraints.
- Proficient in English.
