Delivery Director

The Delivery Director will take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of all projects within the Division's portfolio, spanning multiple concurrent engagements and client accounts. This role ensures that every engagement is executed on time, within scope and budget, and at the highest standards of quality and compliance.

You will lead a large cross-functional delivery organization — including project managers, delivery managers, and technical teams — and work closely with the Technical Director to ensure that all solutions are feasible, secure, and aligned with industry best practices in the Division's core domain (banking or e-commerce).

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

Develop and implement the delivery strategy of the Division to align with company objectives while offering high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Oversee the delivery portfolio for all projects within the Division, ensuring success across scope, schedule, cost, and quality metrics.

Ensure alignment between project scope, deliverables, and customer expectations.

Manage client escalation and delivery issues with hands-on involvement where necessary.

Lead and mentor teams of delivery managers, project managers, and other delivery professionals within the Division.

Training and hiring resources for the Division.

Serve as the executive point of contact for key enterprise clients, ensuring client satisfaction, risk mitigation, and long-term partnership success.

Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance the value delivered to clients.

Support presales activities — contributing to solutioning, effort estimation, proposals, and client pitches to help win new business.

Manage resource allocation across projects to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.

Plan and forecast resource needs, balancing workload, availability, and skill sets to meet project demands.

Develop and manage the division/department budget, ensuring cost-effective project execution.

Responsible for financial performance, including the division's profitability, and implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.

Represent the Division in executive leadership meetings and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in project management or delivery roles in IT/digital projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.

Proven experience leading and managing large delivery organizations of 100–200 people across multiple teams and concurrent projects.

Ability to assess and manage risks at a project/organizational level.

Proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar digital transformation programs, with strong domain expertise in banking/financial services or large-scale e-commerce/retail.

Deep domain knowledge in banking (core banking, payments, regulatory compliance, digital banking platforms) or e-commerce (commerce platforms, high-traffic transactional systems, omnichannel and marketplace operations) is big plus

Strong business mindset — able to connect delivery decisions to commercial outcomes, profitability, and long-term client value.

Solid technical background, with the ability to understand solution architecture, assess technical feasibility and risk, and engage credibly with engineering teams.

Strong leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent communication and client engagement skills, capable of managing C-level relationships.

Experience in agile delivery, enterprise PMO governance, and distributed global teams.

Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and driving efficiency within delivery teams.
