Data & Tech Legal Specialist

We are seeking a talented individual with dedication, curiosity, and a strong interest in data, technology, and law to join our team as a Data & Tech Legal Specialist.

A - RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and independently handle assigned tasks within Data & Tech Legal workstreams across client projects.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research on data protection, privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and other data & technology-related matters.
• Draft, review, and update project documentation, legal assessments, policies, procedures, and governance reports.
• Support the assessment of clients data processing activities and provide practical recommendations in line with applicable regulatory requirements and good practices.
• Work with clients legal, IT, security, engineering, compliance, and business teams to understand data flows, technology environments, and operational processes and translate regulatory requirements into practical controls.
• Monitor developments in privacy, cybersecurity, AI, and other data & technology regulations and support the preparation of regulatory updates and compliance recommendations.
• Support the development and delivery of training, workshops, and other capacity-building activities for clients and stakeholders.
• Contribute to internal knowledge development, methodologies, templates, and other professional resources.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

B - QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law. Qualification as a lawyer is a plus.
• ertifications such as CIPM, CIPP/E or other relevant privacy certifications are an advantage.
• 2+ years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Technology Law, Privacy, Data Protection, Cybersecurity, or Risk Management.
• Good foundational knowledge of data protection and technology-related regulations, with a strong willingness to further develop expertise in these areas.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with legal, IT, product, security, compliance, and business teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Vietnamese, with English frequently used in day-to-day work and client projects.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership of assigned work, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a project-based environment.
