Data Presales Engineer

Role Description The Data Presales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Hanoi, responsible for supporting the sales team in understanding customer requirements and designing secure, scalable data and cloud solutions. This role involves conducting technical presentations and demonstrations, responding to RFPs and RFIs, and creating solution proposals aligned with customer business objectives. The Data Presales Engineer collaborates with internal technical teams and external partners to validate solution architecture, plan integrations, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards. Day-to-day activities include performing technical assessments, offering proof-of-concept support, providing guidance on implementation best practices, and delivering post-presales technical support in coordination with service teams. The role also includes staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to strengthen solution positioning.

Qualifications

• Strong presales and sales support skills, including requirement gathering, solution design, and proposal development.
• Technical support and integration skills for data platforms, hybrid-cloud environments, and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of security principles and solutions related to data protection, compliance, and application resilience.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with OEMs, partners, or system integrators in enterprise technology ecosystems is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, databases, data management, or cybersecurity tools is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
