Data Engineer / Database Administrator

• We're looking for a Data Engineer with secondary DBA responsibilities to work across Databricks, Oracle/OCI, Exadata, SQL Server and Azure PostgreSQL in an AI-augmented enterprise environment.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain Databricks data pipelines, bronze/silver/gold layers, scheduled jobs, monitoring and alerting.
• Develop API-driven ingestion and manage credentials, secrets and access.
• Maintain AI platform cost and usage analytics, including LLM consumption reporting.
• Support workflow automation using n8n or similar tools.
• Manage access, roles and security hygiene across data platforms.
• Handle day-to-day Oracle/OCI and Exadata administration, including patching, monitoring, backups and provisioning.
• Run monthly UAT database refreshes and coordinate with application, QA and DevOps teams.
• Support SQL Server and Azure PostgreSQL.
• Maintain clear, executable runbooks and improve operational automation.

AI / Automation Focus

You'll be encouraged to use tools such as Claude, Copilot, Cursor, n8n + LLM nodes and MCP tooling to automate repetitive operational work and build AI-assisted workflows for checks such as backups, capacity and cost anomalies.

What We're Looking For

• 1–5 years in data engineering, DBA or a related technical role.
• Strong SQL plus Python, Bash, Shell or PowerShell.
• Understanding of relational databases, backup/restore, patching, users/roles and basic performance.
• Oracle/OCI experience is helpful but not required.
• Comfortable working in English.
• Curious about AI tooling and automation.
• Self-directed and comfortable working in a lean team.

Nice to Have

• Databricks / Spark / data warehouse experience
• OCI, Azure or AWS
• n8n, Power Automate or Airflow
• Mandarin or Cantonese
• Experience working across multiple technical areas
