Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Engineer role based in the Mohali district. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring reliable data flow between source systems and analytics platforms. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, implementing data models and data warehousing solutions, and collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics teams to support reporting and AI/ML use cases. The role involves monitoring data quality, performance tuning of data systems, and documenting data schemas and workflows. The Data Engineer will also contribute to improving data infrastructure practices, adopting modern tools and cloud-native approaches aligned with Applify's engineering standards.
Qualifications

• Strong Data Engineering skills, including building and maintaining data pipelines and working with large-scale data systems.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling to design efficient, scalable schemas that support analytics and operational use cases.
• Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including data ingestion, transformation, and integration from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and tools to support business intelligence and reporting.
• Ability to perform Data Analytics to validate data, support decision-making, and collaborate with analytics stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), modern data stack tools, and SQL; familiarity with Python or another programming language is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
