CTV QC Engineer (Shorterm Contract)

Level: Junior - Middle (Shorterm Contract)

Responsibilities

The QC Engineer participates in the full software testing lifecycle under the guidance of a Senior QC Engineer, and is responsible for ensuring product quality from requirements analysis through to product release.

Requirements & Analysis:

• Participate in identifying user requirements and expectations from key stakeholders to develop quality documents for end products
• Collaborate with BA/PO to clarify feature expectations and define acceptance criteria
• Assess the impact of requirement changes on the testing scope

Planning:

• Participate in identifying quality testing types and variations for each phase of the product development process or lifecycle based on business needs and requirements
• Support the development of test plans and propose testing variations aligned with business requirements
• Take part in Sprint testing planning under the Agile/Scrum methodology

Design:

• Outline steps in the quality test process required to achieve test objectives
• Write detailed test cases and test scenarios based on system specification documents
• Design appropriate test data, including both positive and negative cases

Implementation:

• Implement quality tests across phases of the product development process or lifecycle to assess performance of quality measures under different operational and usage conditions
• Execute manual testing: UI Testing, Functional Testing, and Regression Testing on Web and Mobile platforms
• Perform basic API testing using Postman based on designed test cases
• Implement quality assurance tests against design requirements and specifications
• Record and report testing results; log bugs clearly and completely in JIRA
• Evaluate bug severity and priority; track bug status throughout the resolution workflow
• Collaborate with developers to confirm fixes and perform re-testing
• Review failure analysis results and implement changes that limit and/or eliminate the causes of failure

Qualifications

• Less than 2 year of experience in software testing (freshers are welcome to apply)
• Prior internship or hands-on project experience in QC/QA is an advantage
• Understanding of all phases of a test cycle, including but not limited to: functional, regression, integration, performance, acceptance, load, black box, white box, and automation testing
• Strong ability to create and maintain test artifacts: test plan, test cases, test scenarios, and test reports
• Experience in testing APIs using Postman or SoapUI
• Experience in using SQL statements for data query and verification
• Understanding of the software product development process
• Good analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and attention to detail
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents in English
