Redstone Commodity Search are supporting an international metals business in the appointment of a Country Manager to lead and scale its Vietnam operations. This role will take full responsibility for plant performance, regional procurement, and stakeholder management, while acting as the primary bridge between US headquarters and local operations. This role requires the ability to be able to travel 20 to 30 percent regionally for supplier and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day management of material processing operations and production planning
- Drive operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and inventory performance
- Lead regional raw material sourcing and supplier negotiations across Asia and Africa
- Manage relationships with joint venture partners, government authorities, and logistics providers
- Support commercial development across aerospace, defence, and industrial customers
Key Experience
- Experience within metals processing, refining, or manufacturing environments
- Direct commercial or operational exposure to metals markets
- Proven background in commodity procurement and supplier relationship managemen
- Experience operating within international or cross border supply chain
- Track record of improving operational performance and cost control
Candidate Profile
- Vietnamese native or fluentwith strong English communication skills to communicate with US HQ
- Mandarin language capability for supplier negotiations
- Strong negotiator comfortable managing international contracts
- Hands on, results driven leader with an operational mindset
- High integrity professional with strong regulatory and compliance awareness
