Exciting Opportunity: Country Head – Vietnam

A premier global investment bank is seeking an accomplished leader to serve as Country Head and spearhead its strategic growth in Vietnam. This senior role is critical for establishing and expanding the firm's presence and influence in the local market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the Vietnam representative office.
- Champion the firm's brand, building and nurturing professional relationships with key external stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory authorities, and financial and business institutions.
- Drive business development by establishing and strengthening relationships with local clients, vendors, and partners.
- Provide deep local market intelligence and industry insights to assess trends, identify opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Execute additional projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Exemplary personal integrity, humility, diligence, and strong professional ethics.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining effective, high-level relationships with diverse internal and external parties.
- A proactive, independent, and results-driven self-starter, capable of working under pressure and taking initiative.
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a collaborative, global team.
- Extensive investment banking or corporate finance background is highly desirable. Candidates with deep transactional experience in areas such as IPOs, M&A, DCM, or ECM will be given strong consideration.
- Direct experience in client relationship management, business development, and market entry strategies.
- Prior experience within the financial services sector and/or a major international organization is preferred.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Professional proficiency in Vietnamese is required.
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a significant advantage.
