Reporting To: Regional Manager, Sustainability SEA

Job Purpose

The CSR Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Social Accountability services in Vietnam, ensuring assessment quality, auditor competency, integrity compliance, operational efficiency, and business growth. This role provides technical leadership to the auditor team, manages resources and performance, and serves as a key contact for clients regarding social compliance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Accountability Operations Management

  • Lead and manage daily Social Accountability operations to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Coordinate auditor resource allocation based on customer requirements and audit schedules.
  • Monitor assessment delivery, report quality, and report turnaround time (TAT).
  • Ensure projects are completed in compliance with company procedures, accreditation requirements, and client expectations.
  • Monitor and control operational costs and productivity to achieve business targets.

2. Technical Support & Auditor Development

  • Provide technical guidance and support to Social Accountability auditors on audit methodology, standards interpretation, and reporting requirements.
  • Review audit reports and provide coaching to improve consistency and quality.
  • Identify training needs and support competency development initiatives for auditors.
  • Keep the audit team updated on changes in social compliance standards and industry requirements.

3. Auditor Performance & Integrity Monitoring

  • Conduct annual field supervision assessments and witness audits for all auditors in Vietnam.
  • Evaluate auditor performance, technical competence, and professional conduct.
  • Monitor auditor integrity and compliance with company ethical standards.
  • Investigate and report integrity concerns, non-conformities, and potential conflicts of interest.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions where necessary.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure audit activities comply with accreditation requirements, company policies, and client protocols.
  • Monitor service quality indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in internal quality reviews and external accreditation assessments.
  • Support implementation of corrective actions arising from quality or compliance findings.

5. Client Relationship & Business Development

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical consultation and support to customers regarding Social Accountability programs.
  • Support commercial and business development teams in identifying growth opportunities.
  • Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and business review sessions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of business growth plans.

6. Reporting & Communication

  • Prepare operational performance reports and management updates.
  • Monitor KPIs related to auditor utilization, report quality, TAT, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, auditors, clients, and regional stakeholders.
  • Working time: Mon-Fri

Job requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, Business Administration, Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Lead Auditor qualification in Social Accountability standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of social compliance programs such as: SMETA, amfori BSCI, SA8000, WRAP, SLCP, RBA, ICTI, Customer-specific Code of Conduct Programs
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Social Compliance / CSR Auditing.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of people management or team leadership experience.
  • Strong experience in auditor supervision, witness assessments, and quality management.
  • Experience working with international brands, retailers, manufacturers, and supply chains.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and compliance requirements in inspection, auditing, or certification industries.
