Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, preferably in Law or related fields (Economic Law/Corporate Law/Commercial Law).
  • At least 2 years of working experience in relevant positions in Banks/Financial institutions.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrating a preventive mindset toward legal risk
  • Excellent legal drafting and documentation
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal colleagues.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Teamwork and able to work with international colleagues.
  • Having a basic knowledge of is a plus.

Main responsibilities

  • Conduct CDD/KYC and risk assessment per organization's risk appetite.
  • Monitor, detect and handle risks arising from customers and external parties.
  • Facilitate in reporting of suspicious transactions from AML/CFT perspective to managers and authorities.
  • Provide AML/CFT & IPPC guidance and training to develop awareness of new joiners and front – line staff on regulatory requirements and the impact of non-compliance on the organization.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual report on compliance for submission to a direct manager.
  • Stay updated on changes to Corporate Law, Investment Law, and industry-specific regulations to advise management on necessary actions.
  • Draft, review, update and implement Internal Policies, Procedure and Controls (IPPC), ensure alignment with latest laws and regulations.
