TaloTrace is an AI-powered QA platform that autonomously tests web and mobile applications, discovers issues, and delivers evidence-backed findings your engineering team can act on immediately.

Unlike traditional automation tools that stop at pass or fail, TaloTrace provides a complete Trace for every issue: recorded video, logs, reproduction steps, severity, and supporting evidence.

We are looking for a Business Systems & Automation Engineer to build and improve the internal systems that run our company. This is a highly hands-on role that sits across technology and business operations, with the opportunity to automate workflows across HR, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and other functions.

Job Description

Identify bottlenecks, repetitive work, inefficient processes, and sources of human error across the company.
Work with teams to understand the underlying business problem before deciding what should be automated.
Design, build, integrate, deploy, and maintain internal tools, workflows, dashboards, business systems, and AI-powered automations.
Connect SaaS platforms, APIs, databases, and internal systems so information and workflows move reliably end-to-end.
Use tools such as n8n, Make, Zapier, HubSpot, Microsoft 365, OpenAI, and other SaaS platforms where appropriate; build custom solutions when existing tools are not sufficient.
Automate workflows across lead generation, sales operations, marketing, recruitment, HR, finance, procurement, customer operations, reporting, engineering, and product.
Improve company speed, accuracy, visibility, accountability, and scalability through better systems and automation.
Monitor automation failures, edge cases, data quality, permissions, and system reliability.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations to turn business problems into practical technical solutions.
Document systems, integrations, workflows, ownership, permissions, and operational controls.
Continuously identify new opportunities to apply AI and automation to remove unnecessary work and improve how the company operates.

The goal is not to automate everything. The goal is to make the company significantly more efficient by removing unnecessary work, simplifying how work gets done, and building better operating methods.

Examples of Projects

Build a lead-to-customer workflow connecting lead generation, qualification, CRM updates, outreach, and reporting.
Automate recruitment workflows from sourcing and candidate tracking through interview coordination, onboarding, and reporting.
Build HR workflows for onboarding, employee records, approvals, reminders, and internal accountability.
Automate finance workflows such as invoices, payments, reconciliation, reporting, and alerts.
Automate marketing workflows across content, SEO, social media, campaign operations, and analytics.
Build leadership dashboards that combine data from multiple systems into useful operational visibility.
Improve engineering and product workflows through automation, integrations, notifications, and internal tooling.
Build AI assistants and agents that can execute multi-step business workflows with appropriate human oversight.
Integrate existing SaaS platforms and APIs to eliminate duplicate data entry and disconnected workflows.
Take a manual process that consumes 20 hours per week and redesign it so that it requires minimal human intervention.

Technical Skills

Strong programming and software engineering fundamentals
Experience with APIs, webhooks, databases, authentication, and system integrations
Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier
Experience integrating SaaS products and working with their APIs
Ability to build internal tools, automation services, dashboards, and business applications
Experience with AI/LLMs and applying them to real business workflows
Strong understanding of data, spreadsheets, databases, and reporting
Familiarity with cloud platforms, Git, testing, monitoring, and deployment
Ability to evaluate when to buy, configure, integrate, or build a solution
Experience automating cross-functional business processes
Experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Microsoft 365, CRM, ERP, HR, or finance systems is a plus

Years of Experience

2–8 years of relevant experience in software engineering, automation, business systems, solutions engineering, internal tools, or a related technical role. We care more about what you have built and the problems you have solved than your job title.
