Role Description

This is a front-line business development role with real ownership. You'll be the engine of Palexy's pipeline — identifying, engaging, and qualifying new opportunities across APAC's retail landscape.

You'll work closely with our Account Executive team to move prospects through the sales cycle, and you'll have direct visibility into deals closing with some of the region's most recognizable brands.

What You'll Do

  • Build the pipeline — research and identify target accounts, run high-volume outreach across email, LinkedIn, and phone, and book qualified meetings for the sales team
  • Own your outreach quality — craft personalized messaging that speaks to retailers specific pain points, not generic templates
  • Qualify opportunities — conduct discovery conversations to assess fit, urgency, and buying intent before handing off to AEs
  • Keep the CRM tight — log all activity, track lead status, and maintain clean data so the team always knows where things stand
  • Support the sales motion — assist with proposals, decks, and follow-ups; join calls and take ownership of next steps
  • Stay sharp on the market — track industry trends, competitor moves, and prospect news to sharpen your outreach and inform the team

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of B2B or SaaS experience in a sales, BDR/SDR, or business development capacity — you've done prospecting before and have results to show for it
  • Strong English, written and spoken — IELTS 7.0+ or equivalent; you'll work with regional teams, English-language accounts, and materials daily
  • Hunter mentality — you're energized by finding new opportunities, not waiting for inbound leads to land in your lap
  • Resilient and consistent — you hit your outreach targets even on hard weeks, and you treat rejection as data, not defeat
  • Organised under pressure — you manage your pipeline, follow-ups, and admin without things falling through the cracks
  • Commercially curious — you genuinely want to understand how retailers think, what keeps them up at night, and how data changes their decisions
