Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the backend team in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable services for iGaming products.
Architect and implement systems using Java (Spring Boot), RESTful APIs, WebSocket, and event-driven architectures.
Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, and QA to ensure smooth delivery of new features.
Design and optimize relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Integrate caching solutions (e.g., Redis, Memcached) to enhance system performance.
Ensure high system availability, fault tolerance, and low-latency communication across microservices.
Monitor system health, analyze performance bottlenecks, and lead incident response when necessary.
Promote and enforce coding standards, architectural best practices, and high-quality documentation.
Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and support the growth of the backend team.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in system design, development processes, and DevOps practices.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of professional backend development experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or senior role.
Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8+) and Spring Boot framework.
Solid experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and implementing WebSocket-based systems.
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and system design.
Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA).
Familiarity with caching technologies (Redis, Memcached).
Experience with containerized environments and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and strong ownership.
Good English communication skills both written and spoken.
Experience in the iGaming domain is a strong plus.
