.Manage the complete beverage program needs of the Food and Beverage Division. Assist in managing one or more full-service food and beverage outlet(s) on a daily basis.

.Adhere to local regulations concerning FSMS / HACCP, health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - (Key Activities of the role)

.Deliver beverage service of high standard and in accordance with departmental standards and procedures

.Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest comments and other relevant information

.Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships

.Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled

.Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled

.Maintain daily and monthly inventory

.Prepare daily requisition and stock are properly replenish accordingly

.Prepares for service by ensuring:

oGrooming is impeccable and in accordance with personal presentation standards

oOutlet equipment is clean

oEquipment is sorted and stored

oGlassware is polished

oRequirements for special occasions are ready

oMusic is on

oLighting is on

oOutlet is ready for service and guest comfort

.Carries out effective service by ensuring:

oGuests are greeted and seated

oDaily beverage specials are explained and up-sold

oFood orders are processed accurately

oTrays and tray jacks are effectively used

oFood and beverage orders are taken quickly

oPayment methods are handled accurately

oWorking areas are cleaned and re-set quickly

oBar is clean

oUsed ashtrays are regularly cleaned

oGuests are conversed with in relation to the food and beverage products

.Carries out effective beverage service by ensuring:

oBeverages are up-sold and regularly replenished, abiding by responsible alcohol service regulations

oConverse with Guests about wine, advising the types and styles of wine, taking wine orders and serving wine

oPromoting and selling cocktails to guests

oMaking and presenting cocktails

oCoffee and tea is served hot and in accordance with standard

.Patron care standards are adhered to by ensuring:

oGuests are advised on alcoholic beverages

oThe strengths of alcohol is advised and guests are advised as to their effect

oCompliance with legal provisions of local liquor codes

oLevel of intoxication of guests is assessed and appropriate action taken

oAdvise guest on the hotel's policy of smoking

oMonitor factors which interfere with the total experience of the guest

.Cellar operations are carried our including:

oCorrect use of refrigeration system

oEffective operation of the post-mix syrups bulk dispense system

oOperating the beer reticulation system

oAdhering to stock control procedures

.Take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints

.Performs related duties and special projects as assigned



Work Experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills -

.Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

.Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency.

.Able to read and write in English

Qualifications -

.High School or Vocational Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field..

Experience -

.1 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred
