Automation Platform Engineer - HR domain

Role Summary

The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting intelligent automation solutions using UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, and Microsoft Copilot technologies. The role focuses on automating business processes, improving operational efficiency, and supporting digital transformation initiatives.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong automation development expertise, business process understanding, and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver scalable and sustainable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Automation Solution Development

• Design, develop, test and deploy automation solutions using UiPath and Power Automate.
• Build attended and unattended RPA solutions to eliminate manual and repetitive tasks.
• Develop reusable components, libraries and automation templates.
• Ensure automation solutions are robust, scalable and maintainable.
• Conduct unit testing, system testing and user acceptance testing support.

UiPath Development

• Develop and enhance UiPath workflows and robots.
• Automate business processes involving:
• SAP
• Web applications
• Desktop applications
• File processing
• Data reconciliation
• Report generation
• Configure exception handling, logging and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and implement fixes.

Power Automate Development

• Develop cloud and desktop flows using Microsoft Power Platform.
• Build workflow automations involving:
• SharePoint
• Teams
• Outlook
• Excel
• OneDrive
• Approvals
• Create integrations between Microsoft applications and external systems.
• Optimize and maintain existing Power Automate solutions.

Microsoft Copilot & AI Enablement

• Develop and support solutions using Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio.
• Build AI assistants and agents to improve employee productivity.
• Implement AI use cases such as:
• Email summarization
• Document summarization
• Knowledge retrieval
• Employee self-service support
• Assist business teams in identifying opportunities to leverage AI capabilities.

Business Engagement

• Work with business users to understand requirements and pain points.
• Translate business requirements into functional automation solutions.
• Conduct process assessments and identify automation opportunities.
• Support solution demonstrations and user training sessions.

Support & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor automation performance and system stability.
• Investigate automation failures and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain technical documentation and process documentation.
• Recommend improvements to existing processes and automations.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing activities.

Candidate Requirements

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience developing and delivering workflow automation, low-code solutions, business applications, or digital transformation initiatives using enterprise platforms.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and end users.
• Experience delivering automation solutions, AI-enabled use cases, Generative AI applications, or AI agent solutions.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following automation and AI platforms: Microsoft Copilot Studio, Dataiku, KNIME, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Platform, or UiPath.
