JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Senior Application Production Support Engineer to support business-critical banking applications.

The role focuses on production support, incident investigation, troubleshooting, SQL/data analysis, RCA, and coordination with internal teams and vendors to maintain application stability.

Note: This is primarily a Production/Application Support role, not a full-time Software Development position. Candidates are not expected to know the Bank's systems before joining; the ability to learn unfamiliar systems through documentation, investigation, and vendor/technical team collaboration is important.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide L2/L3 production support for banking applications, including monitoring, troubleshooting, incident handling, and issue resolution.
• Investigate application issues using logs, error messages, system flows, SQL/data analysis, and available technical documentation.
• Perform or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or high-severity incidents.
• Coordinate with Development, Infrastructure, Database, Security teams, and external vendors to investigate and resolve issues.
• Participate in technical calls with vendors to understand system behavior, identify missing information, and follow up on solutions.
• Support application releases, deployments, patches, and production changes following Bank policies and approval procedures.
• Maintain and update SOPs, troubleshooting guides, system flows, incident records, and technical documentation.
• Monitor recurring issues and recommend improvements to application stability and support processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Support, Software Support, Technical Support, or similar technical roles.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications; Banking/Fintech experience is preferred.
• Strong MS SQL / SQL skills for data investigation and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of application architecture, APIs/Web Services, system integration, and data flows.
• Working knowledge of .NET/C# applications; familiarity with Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, or related technologies is a plus.
• Understanding of SDLC, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to unfamiliar systems.
• Good English communication skills for working with regional teams and vendors.
• Comfortable working in a strict, process-driven banking environment, including security policies, approval workflows, documentation, and controlled production changes.
