AI Risk Governance Senior Expert

Looking for an AI Governance professional with experience in establishing and operating AI Risk Management and Governance, preferably within a regulated environment.

The individual should be capable of providing independent challenge and oversight over AI-related initiatives, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and reported appropriately.

What would be the key responsibilities of this role

• Support and maintain AI Risk Governance policies, standards, and risk assessment methodologies
• Conduct independent reviews and challenge of AI System risks before deployment across the lifecycle, including model development, deployment, monitoring, and retirement
• Review adequacy of AI monitoring controls, guardrails, and escalation mechanisms
• Evaluate third-party AI solutions for governance and risk-related requirements.
• Provide AI risk reporting and insights to ERC, Risk Committees, and senior management.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and assurance activities related to AI governance.
• Monitor emerging AI risks and industry best practices and recommend improvements to the risk governance framework.

Specific skills and experience to focus on

Governance & Risk

• Technology Risk, Digital Risk, or Operational Risk background.
• Experience designing governance frameworks, policies, and risk assessment processes.
• Strong understanding of Three Lines of Defense and independent risk oversight.

AI Risk Knowledge

• Understanding of GenAI, LLMs, AI agents, and RAG
• Experience assessing risks such as:
• Data privacy and confidentiality
• Cyber and adversarial AI risks
• Ability to assess whether AI controls are effective and sustainable
