The Opportunity

We are looking for an AI Engineer who specializes in building and orchestrating production AI agents. This isn't a traditional automation role; you will be responsible for the systems and experiences that put our agents to work in the real world, now including one of the hardest corners of professional services: restructuring.

The skillset is the same across the team: building managed agents, designing plugins, orchestrating them into networks of workflows, and shipping experiences people actually use. Where it gets deployed differs, and we hire for one of two tracks. Tell us which one you are, or we'll work it out with you in the process.

Track A: Forward Deployed

You sit with finance and advisory users across their pre and post restructuring workflows, translate what they actually do into systems they can rely on, and own those systems in production for a client.

• Design, deploy, and maintain managed AI agents that do real work against live professional services workflows, not demos
• Craft user experiences that meet users where they work and deliver value with minimal intervention, where the bar is something people actually use
• Work directly with finance and advisory users to diagnose broken workflows and ship the systems that fix them
• Own production reliability and iteration for your deployment, including knowing when to rebuild versus patch

Track B: Platform and Tooling

You build for our customer engineers and AI engineers. The goal is that the same product can be deployed and maintained across many clients without an AI engineer in the loop on every change.

• Own the shared codebase and deployment infrastructure: repositories, staging and sync between client deployments, feature parity where it should exist and clean divergence where it should not
• Build the plugins, tooling and release rhythm that let customer engineers ship client changes on their own
• Turn what forward deployed engineers learn on one client into something the next client gets by default
• Own production reliability across deployments, including knowing when to rebuild versus patch

Required Qualifications (both tracks)

• 3 to 5 years of experience building production software or AI systems, with a focus on agents or advanced AI use cases rather than one-off scripts
• Hands-on experience running AI agents in production, including prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and tool/plugin integration
• Practical experience building or extending plugins and chaining them into multi-step workflows across systems
• Advanced proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript for building production-grade AI systems
• Comfortable with git-based release flows, CI, and environment and configuration management
• Product and UX sense, building for the user rather than the architecture so the work lands with minimal friction
• Professional working English with the ability to communicate technical decisions to international teams and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

Both tracks:

• Familiarity with AI agent frameworks, MCP, or plugin ecosystems
• Experience in finance, consulting, or professional services

Track A:

• Previous experience in a forward-deployed or client-facing role working with messy real-world workflows
• Front-end or product-building chops for user-facing experiences
• Exposure to restructuring, FP&A, or financial operations

Track B:

• Experience running multi-tenant or multi-client systems off a common codebase
• Experience building internal tooling or developer platforms that other engineers depend on
