1. About the Role

GenAI Fund is looking for a highly adaptable, hands-on AI Ecosystem & Events Lead to lead the development and execution of our AI-focused events and community initiatives.

This role will be the key point of contact for initiatives such as GenAI Builders Meetup, community AI events, workshops, roundtables, and ecosystem gatherings.

You will own the full lifecycle of each initiative — from developing the event concept and securing sponsors, to building partnerships, driving registrations, managing marketing, delivering the event, and growing the community around it.

You will receive support, resources, and access to GenAI Fund's broader ecosystem. However, we are looking for someone who can take ownership, work independently, and move initiatives forward.

This is a highly dynamic role for someone who enjoys working across partnerships, business development, marketing, events, and community building.

2. What You'll DoLead AI Events and Community Initiatives

You will take ownership of planning and executing GenAI Fund's AI events and community programs, including:

• GenAI Builders Meetup
• AI community gatherings
• Founder and builder events
• Workshops and roundtables
• Enterprise and ecosystem events
• Partner-led programs and special initiatives

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing event concepts, themes, formats, and target audiences
• Creating event plans, timelines, budgets, and execution roadmaps
• Coordinating speakers, sponsors, partners, vendors, volunteers, and internal teams
• Managing event logistics and participant experience
• Overseeing event-day execution and resolving issues quickly
• Gathering feedback and improving future programs
• Tracking event performance, including attendance, engagement, partnerships, and commercial outcomes

Build Sponsorships and Partnerships

You will help make each initiative commercially sustainable by developing relationships with relevant organisations across the AI and technology ecosystem.

You will:

• Identify and approach potential sponsors and strategic partners
• Develop sponsorship packages, partnership proposals, and commercial opportunities
• Lead conversations with technology companies, enterprises, startups, investors, universities, and community organisations
• Negotiate partnership terms and coordinate partner deliverables
• Build long-term relationships beyond individual events
• Explore opportunities for co-marketing, workshops, demonstrations, and community programmes

You should be comfortable speaking with different stakeholders, understanding their objectives, and creating partnerships that deliver value for all parties.

Drive Marketing and Audience Growth

You will help events reach the right audience and achieve strong participation.

You will:

• Develop event messaging, positioning, and promotional campaigns
• Coordinate content across LinkedIn, email, community channels, and partner networks
• Work with speakers and partners to amplify event promotion
• Develop registration and audience-growth strategies
• Monitor campaign performance and adjust accordingly
• Help turn event participants into an engaged, long-term community

Grow the AI Builder Community

Beyond individual events, you will help build an active and valuable community around GenAI Fund.

You will:

• Understand the needs of AI builders, founders, developers, and ecosystem partners
• Develop engagement strategies that encourage repeat participation
• Create opportunities for members to connect, collaborate, and learn
• Identify promising builders, startups, speakers, and community leaders
• Maintain regular communication with the community
• Connect community members with relevant partners, opportunities, and programmes

3. Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a highly adaptable, hands-on generalist with approximately 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in events, marketing, sponsorships, partnerships, business development, community engagement, or a related field.

This is an individual contributor role. You will take ownership of important initiatives, but this is not a senior management or department-head position.

You should be someone who:

• Has at least 2 years of relevant working experience
• Has helped organise events, build communities, develop partnerships, or execute marketing initiatives
• Is comfortable reaching out to potential sponsors and partners
• Can manage projects from planning through execution
• Learns quickly and adapts to changing priorities
• Is highly organised and reliable with follow-through
• Can build relationships and trust with different stakeholders
• Communicates clearly in both English and Vietnamese
• Is comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment
• Is willing to handle both planning and detailed execution
• Has strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness

Experience in the AI, technology, startup, developer, innovation, investment, or enterprise ecosystem would be valuable.

You do not need to be a technical AI expert, but you should be genuinely interested in AI and able to understand enough about emerging technologies to communicate their relevance to different audiences.
