2D Technical Designer

Job Summary

We are looking for a 2D Technical Designer in Ho Chi Minh City who can turn design ideas into clear, accurate, buildable information.

You will work closely with Workplace Designers, Project Managers, MEPF Engineers, QS & Procurement, Site Managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop drawing packages for workplace Design & Build projects.

Your work sits at the point where design becomes reality.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Technical Drawings

• Develop design concepts into detailed 2D drawing packages.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and construction drawings.
• Develop joinery, furniture, ceiling, flooring, partition, door, finishing, and other interior details.
• Ensure dimensions, materials, specifications, and construction information are coordinated and clear.
• Update drawings efficiently as designs, site conditions, or client requirements evolve.
• Maintain drawing quality, consistency, and document control throughout the project.
  
  

Coordinate the Design

• Work closely with Workplace Designers to understand and protect the design intent.
• Coordinate architectural and interior drawings with MEPF and other technical disciplines.
• Identify clashes, missing information, or buildability issues before they reach site.
• Incorporate feedback from clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Support material, furniture, and technical selections where drawing input is required.
  
  

Support Procurement & Construction

• Prepare the technical information required for costing, procurement, fabrication, and construction.
• Coordinate shop drawings and technical submissions from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review technical information against Huynchi drawings and project requirements.
• Respond to drawing-related questions during construction.
• Work with the Project Manager and Site Manager to resolve site conditions and technical issues.
• Update drawings to reflect approved changes and final project information.
  
  

Keep Projects Moving

• Understand drawing priorities and issue information when the project needs it.
• Coordinate with the wider team rather than developing drawings in isolation.
• Raise unclear or conflicting information early.
• Manage revisions accurately and keep the latest information easy to identify.
• Support the team during fast-moving tender, design development, and construction stages.
  
  

What We're Looking For

You May Be a Strong Fit If You Have

• Around 2+ years of experience in interior technical drawing, workplace, fit-out, architecture, or Design & Build.
• Strong AutoCAD skills.
• Good understanding of interior construction methods, materials, detailing, and finishes.
• Ability to develop a design concept into practical construction drawings.
• Ability to read and coordinate architectural, interior, and MEPF information.
• Good attention to dimensions, details, and drawing consistency.
• Experience with office or commercial interiors is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other design tools is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with designers, engineers, suppliers, and site teams.
• Basic professional English for drawings, specifications, and project communication.
  
  

A degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, or a related field is preferred.
