The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations within a manufacturing facility producing light construction materials. This role ensures efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety standards, and alignment with production schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse Operations:
Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving raw materials, storing finished goods, and coordinating outbound shipments.
Ensure proper handling and storage of lightweight construction materials to prevent damage and maintain product integrity.
Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align warehouse operations with manufacturing schedules.
Inventory & Materials Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems.
Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished products to support inventory optimization activities.
Ensure daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Team Leadership:
Supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators, pickers, and loaders.
Provide training on material handling, safety procedures, and equipment use.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
Implement proper storage practices for lightweight and potentially fragile materials.
Conduct regular safety audits and enforce PPE usage.
Process Optimization:
Identify and implement improvements in warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilization.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives and 5S practices within the warehouse.
Reporting & KPIs:
Track and report key metrics such as inventory accuracy, slob & aging products, fulfillment rate, and warehouse productivity,
Prepare reports for management on warehouse performance and improvement plans.
Update, reporting and analyses Warehouse cost to find opportunities for cost optimization.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing or construction materials environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and lean principles.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with handling lightweight but bulky materials (e.g., Frame, gypsum board, insulation rolls).
Forklift certification and experience with material handling equipment.
