Overview:
The Regulatory Compliance Trainee position provides comprehensive training in risk management and ethical conduct within the banking industry. You will work closely with senior Compliance personnel, assisting in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Research & Analysis
- Assist the Compliance team in researching new or amended laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the organization.
- Summarize key regulatory changes and clearly communicate potential impacts to the Compliance Officer.
- Execute specific tasks assigned by the Compliance Officer related to the distribution of State Bank of Vietnam Official Documents and Official Letters, State Bank of Vietnam reporting, and new regulation gap analysis.
Documentation & Audit Support
- Support the maintenance of all compliance-related files, records, and databases.
- Assist in tracking regulatory deadlines and legal filing requirements.
- Assist in collecting necessary data and documentation required for internal and external audits.
Training & Awareness
- Participate in all internal compliance training sessions and actively seek opportunities for professional mentorship.
- Assist in preparing simple training materials or communications for employees regarding organizational policy updates.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Law, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong ability to read and comprehensively understand technical and legal language.
- Detail-oriented with strong research skills, sound business judgment, and critical thinking abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise strict discretion when performing assigned duties.
- Effective written and alternative communication skills in English.
