[JOB OPENING] TRADE MARKETING DIRECTOR
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Trade Marketing Director with a strong commercial background from leading FMCG companies such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Heineken, or equivalent. This is a senior leadership role where you will own the full trade marketing agenda — from strategic planning to flawless channel execution across General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead differentiated trade marketing strategies across GT and MT channels, defining channel investment priorities and category growth levers aligned to overall commercial objectives.
- Own the annual trade marketing plan, budget, and KPIs — ensuring consistent brand visibility, share of shelf, and sell-out performance across all channels.
- Leverage shopper and market insights (Nielsen, Kantar) to identify opportunities and build compelling sell-in stories for key retail partners.
- Partner with Sales and Key Account teams to co-create joint business plans and drive incremental growth at top accounts.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing trade marketing team, building a culture that balances strategic thinking with executional excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on go-to-market plans and brand activation.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Trade Marketing or Commercial roles within top-tier FMCG — Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Heineken, Unilever, or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in both GT and MT channels, including distributor management, outlet execution, and modern trade negotiation.
- Strategic mindset with a strong drive for on-ground execution — able to think long-term while ensuring perfect activation today.
- Strong analytical skills — proficient in working with sell-out data, market research, and building ROI models for trade investment.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English, with strong communication and presentation skills.
