Role Overview
We are seeking a Head of Strategy to lead and elevate strategic thinking across dentsu Redder, following the integration of Strategy and Creative Planning into a unified Creative Planning function.
This role will work closely with Creative Directors to drive end-to-end thinking – from insight to idea – ensuring that all work is grounded in strong, differentiated strategy.
As a senior leader, you will partner with key clients, including large and high-demand accounts, guide internal teams, and solve complex business challenges across industries such as real estate, fintech, and other evolving sectors. Also, you lead the shift from traditional strategy to Creative Transformation, driving Greater Impact for brands by bridging the gap between deep cultural resonance and cutting-edge technology.
This role requires a strong balance of strategic depth, client leadership, and creative collaboration, with exposure to both local and regional/global brand transformation projects.
Job Description:
Key responsibilities:
Strategic & Creative Leadership
- Lead the Creative Planning function, integrating strategic thinking seamlessly into creative development
- Drive insight-led, idea-first strategy, ensuring all outputs are rooted in strong human and cultural understanding
- Partner closely with Creative Directors to shape impactful, effective, and distinctive creative work
Client Leadership & Advisory
- Act as a trusted strategic partner to senior client stakeholders, including CMOs and marketing leaders
- Lead strategic conversations for key clients, confidently guiding, challenging, and aligning expectations
- Support and grow existing client relationships, while contributing to key pitches and new opportunities
Strategic Depth & Problem Solving
- Lead complex projects across industries such as real estate, fintech, and other emerging sectors
- Go beyond communications into brand strategy, positioning, and long-term platform development
- Drive brand transformation and repositioning initiatives, including regional or global scopes
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Mentor and develop the Creative Planning team, elevating the overall quality of thinking and output
- Provide clear direction and feedback to strengthen strategic rigor and storytelling capability
- Foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and creative excellence
- Collaboration & Integration
- Act as a bridge between strategy and creative, ensuring alignment from brief to execution
- Work cross-functionally with account, creative, and other dentsu capabilities to deliver integrated solutions
- Leverage AI and advanced technology tools to uncover hidden behaviors and untapped psychological drivers of the Vietnamese consumer.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- 10–15+ years of experience in strategy/planning roles within creative, integrated, or digital agencies
- Strong foundation as a brand or communications planner, with progression into strategic leadership
- Proven track record of developing creative platforms, integrated campaigns, and brand ideas
- Experience working with large clients and high expectations, with the ability to guide and influence senior stakeholders
- Exposure to multiple industries, with depth or interest in complex sectors such as real estate or fintech
- Experience working on regional or global campaigns is a strong advantage
- Experience with tech-driven clients is a plus, but not mandatory
