Job Summary
The Senior Sales Manager will lead the development and expansion of the distributor network for the 2-wheeler segment, driving sustainable revenue growth and market penetration. This role is responsible for managing regional sales teams, strengthening distributor capabilities, and executing go-to-market strategies within the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Distributor Network Development
- Identify, appoint, and onboard new distributors in targeted regions
- Evaluate distributor performance and implement improvement plans
- Build strong, long-term partnerships to ensure alignment with company objectives
- Develop distributor capability in sales, aftersales, and market coverage
2. Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets
- Drive retail and wholesale performance through distributor channels
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior
- Ensure effective rollout of product launches and promotional campaigns
3. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team
- Set clear KPIs and performance targets for team members
- Build a high-performance, accountable sales culture
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, aftersales, and operations teams
4. Business Planning & Performance Management
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics and take corrective actions
- Ensure disciplined pipeline management and reporting
- Optimize territory coverage and resource allocation
5. Stakeholder Management
- Act as key interface between distributors and internal stakeholders
- Align with senior management on commercial strategy and execution
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Requirements
Experience
- 8–12+ years of sales experience in the automotive industry
- Strong experience in 2-wheeler segment (motorcycles, scooters, or related)
- Proven track record in distributor/dealer network development
- Prior experience managing sales teams and multi-region operations

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
