Main Duties:
The Total Rewards Assistant Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Guardian Vietnam's total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs. This role ensures competitiveness in the talent market, compliance with statutory requirements, and alignment with business objectives. The position also partners with regional reward teams and internal stakeholders to foster a culture of recognition, appreciation, and performance excellence.
1. Salary Benchmarking & Analysis
- Conduct regular salary benchmarking exercises using market survey data (e.g., Mercer or equivalent) to ensure external competitiveness.
- Analyze pay structures, job levels, and market positioning to support informed compensation decisions.
- Prepare insights and recommendations on pay gaps, internal equity, and market alignment.
- Support job evaluation and grading exercises to ensure consistency and fairness.
- Support with payroll and other compensation and benefits program
2. Compensation Review Cycles
- Play an active role in the annual salary review process and manage ad hoc compensation adjustments.
- Support end-to-end execution of compensation review cycles, including salary increases, promotions, and adjustments.
- Perform cost modeling, scenario analysis, and impact assessments to support decision-making.
- Partner with People & Culture Business Partners to ensure alignment with budget, governance, and approval processes.
- Prepare compensation review materials, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
3. Incentive & Reward Programs
- Design, implement, and manage incentive and reward programs aligned with business direction and employee contributions.
- Ensure incentive plans are clearly defined, well communicated, and consistently applied.
- Track plan effectiveness, payout outcomes, and participant eligibility.
- Support governance, documentation, and post-cycle reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Work with the regional reward team to develop recognition programs that foster a culture of appreciation.
5. People Transformation Initiatives
- Actively support People Transformation projects by translating objectives into practical reward, grading, and role architecture solutions.
- Ensure reward principles and structures reinforce desired behaviors and ways of working.
- Participate in project workstreams, data analysis, and implementation efforts related to transformation initiatives.
6. Analytics, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Monitor and manage compensation analytics, staff cost budgeting, and forecasting.
- Track actual versus budget and provide insights to management.
- Prepare compelling compensation package proposals for internal mobility, promotions, and new hires to attract and retain top talent.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Reward or related practices, experience in retail industry is advantage
- Analytical with ability to solve complex problems
- Strong sense of governance in a matrixed environment
- Strong communication in English, influencing and collaboration skills
