Job Summary

The Tool Room Assistant Manager will report directly to Tool Manager and Plant Manager and with responsible for all activities relating to the Tool Room. Coordinating with other departments to minimise the down time and increase the productivity of production which related to the tooling. Maintain the Tooling conditions in good before the production requirements. The selected individual will have strong and positive leadership skills and ability to train and develop people. Must have the good communication ability to use organizational ability to accomplish the goals of the business

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production in accordance with the policies, principle and procedures.
  • Coordinate all the internal activities summarise and find the problems from the data and take necessary actions.
  • Identify the weakness of the departments, summarise them Take necessary actions, if required discuss with the superiors to do any training activities (if necessary external training)
  • Go thru the work standards, if necessary, modify/ change/ add to improve the department productivity.
  • Look for the Tool makers weakness and do the training.
  • Review the manpower strength and discuss with the management for new recruitment.
  • Review the utilization of Tool Room Machines/ equipment's and if needed discuss management and buy them.
  • In conjunction with top management, review and plan for the expansion of the facilities.
  • Monitor the expenses of the department, ensure to maintain the budget provided to department. Look where we can improve them.
  • Data Analysis and reporting of KPIs to management
  • Monitor the department KPIs and Ensure goals are consistently met.
  • Organise for the quality improvement meetings and organise complete those tasks
  • Organise to collect data from production and planning to get prior information to support them when it is required.
  • Work with QA for customer complaint corrective actions and implementations.
  • Work follow shift to manage Tool activities and capabilities and coordinate with other depts. to ensure workload.

Qualifications

  • Good at English & basic Chiniese speaking
  • Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Tool & die/ Molding or equivalent experience
  • At least 03 -05 years of experience of tool making, die, design in metal stamping.
  • Strong experience in Auto Cad and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of quality systems like ISO, Environmental systems, IATF, etc.
  • Costing of tooling costs/ ECN/ some fabrication charges,etc.
