Overall Responsibility: To provide full assistance to EHS Supervisor/ Admin & EHS Manager in managing legal, environment, health, safetyand compliance with company EHS requirements and local regulations under the guidance of the EHS Supervisor/Manager.
Specific duties:
- Understanding of safety, health and environment requirements that apply to the work being supervised and ensure they are followed.
- Ensure employees under your supervision are aware of all known or reasonably foreseeable health and safety hazards where they work.
- Provide orientation and EHS training to new and existing employees and stakeholders when working at Sika.
- Being a Safety Committee Leader and cooperate with other department carrying out occupational health and safety duties.
- Perform tasks and monitor compliance with Chemical safety: procedures, master lists, SDS updates, risk assessments and preventive measures, etc.
- Perform EHS activities such as: Safety Walk, Safety Talk, Safety moment, BBS, 6S, EHS reporting, Sika EHS minimum requirement rules, hazard analysis & risk assessment and related control measures, chemical safety, periodic Safety Newsletter release, Safety Online sharing, EHS monitoring data, target, and objectives, etc.
- Carry out related EHS licenses such as Environment Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental licenses, Chemical licenses, fire protection approval, etc.
- Monitoring and management of waste systems; carry out periodic environmental monitoring according to legal requirements and company regulations.
- Carry out accident/near-miss prevention and investigation.
- Control and implement EHS inspection, rescue plan for emergency accident such as fire explosion, chemical leakage and first aid, etc.
- Implementation of projects and events related to EHS such as fire protection, Safety Day, etc.
- Ensure the Sika Products to meet requirement of local authorities and corporate requirement in SDS, labeling, chemical and other related on EHS.
- Develop & maintain Sika EHS guidelines and minimum requirements.
- Coordination in EHS internal & external audit; coordinate with local authorities in annual inspection and corrective action after that.
- Coordinate with HR/ Training department for annual EHS training courses.
- Update the company with new related laws and regulations.
- Assist in checking EHS matters and license legality of stakeholder and advise departments.
- Responsible for EHS reporting to management team and local authorities.
- File properlyall the documents/records related, to be found easily when needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by EHS Supervisor and Admin & EHS Manager.
Minimum requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in manufacturing, construction or industrial environment.
- Knowledge & Skills
- Basic knowledge of EHS regulations and site safety practices.
- Familiarity with risk assessment, work permits and contractor safety.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, ISO 45001 is a plus.
- Able to work on-site and support multiple activities in parallel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Languages: Basic to intermediate English is an advantage.
