Job Purpose:
MISSION: Provide technical support to the company and Vietnam suppliers. Control quality standard during all steps pertinent to production and release reports. Liaison Vietnam suppliers to reach requirement and instructions from the company. Continuously study and suggest improvements on best seller productions to reach high quality level and efficiency.
OBJECTIVE: Minimize the quality defects in origin in all company products through extensive quality control checks during the entire production process.
Key Responsibilities & Critical Success Measures:
1. Development Process:
- Support development team from with new collections developments in order to guarantee the successful launch of new products taking into account technical specifications, costing, quality control and deadlines.
- Support development team checking quality of salesman samples, press samples, ecommerce samples.
- Check carefully all new collections with development team and vendors to identify the risky points of each product and look for improvements before starting mass production.
- Check and approve Confirmation Sample together with development team.
- Promote or suggest actions to avoid delay or cost increase for the Manager Vietnam and headquarter.
2. Monitoring production:
- Responsible for preparing pre-production meeting vendors.
- Responsible for check and inquiry all necessary physical / chemical tests to assure quality of products.
- Responsible for confirmation of all bulk production materials before starting production.
- Promote or suggest actions to avoid delays or a cost increase for the Manager.
- Support to improve continuously products, especially best sellers, looking for better efficiency of the production process.
- Ensuring the correct execution of the products according to the established criteria for quality, deadlines, etc.
- Monitoring and control of production from initial stage till final products.
- Release quality reports to all parties about pre-production meetings, in line inspection, final inspection, re-inspection.
- Applying the inspection and sizing criteria specified by the company according to the product, based on AQL.
3. Supplier performance:
- Develop knowledge of supplier&aposs capabilities, capacity and performance and contribute to the right placement decisions.
- Partners with engineers and quality related personnel to closely monitor supplier quality performance and implement improvement plans as needed to ensure product quality.
- Ensure all supplier quotations and samples are completed in a timely manner for appropriate decision making.
- Execute placements based on supplier capability, capacity, quality & delivery performance.
4. Customer relationship:
- Establish relationships with customers to further understand their expectations and needs.
- Proactively source new materials and formats, consistently share process knowledge, supplier capabilities, innovative ideas, new product formats, and manufacturing processes with customers and business partners.
- Support customers&apos enquiries independently; product sourcing, sample coordination and prompt delivery.
5. After Sale support:
- For defective items either detected by headquarter team or at shops, the technician and QC has to study the defect root cause with vendor and apply immediate changes looking for permanent solution on future productions.
- Support local repair workshop and promote fast and efficient repairing of pieces returned from customers.
6. Database management:
- Well-organized filing system and project management.
- Obtain quotes and monitor production schedule, maintain update of respective computer system.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technician area or production, preferably in jewelry, handbags, and fashion accessories.
- The ability to identify issues and propose solution.
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials related to accessories production.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to travel and work with overseas suppliers if required.
