Role Purpose
Crestron Technical Sales Specialist is a representative who will call on key accounts, prospects, Crestron dealers/VARS, consultants, designers, potential dealers and help support sales and technical initiative in Vietnam. The purpose is to build a business opportunity pipeline. Liaise with end users and dealer customers to evangelize new solutions from Crestron, define requirements and expectations of a project.
We will look for you to showcase strong understanding of audio & visual (AV) technology, problem solving skills, and an ability to think outside the box, identifying alternate and creative solutions to address customers project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate sales and pre-sales activities based on directives from Sales and Technical Sales Management. These activities may include but not limited to various sales initiatives like Lunch & Learn to target end customers and dealers, consultants, Dealer/Partner joint events, Tech to Tech deep drill sessions or providing design tool training to end customers and dealers. This position is expected to be the sales ambassador and local representative for the brand in Vietnam.
- Provide day to day technical pre-sales support and sales support for Project status updates with end users, dealers, filling in account sheets, authorisation letters, providing dealer pricing information to authorised dealers and other sales support requirements. Support Exclusions are discount requests.
- Route all discount requests and sensitive commercial discussions to the Executive Director Sales.
- Pro-actively look for ways to introduce new solutions and to expand product portfolio to dealers and end customers.
- Take ownership of engagement, drive sales and pre-sales activity of dealer and end customer, provide ongoing updates, progress towards sales conclusion,
- Enter New opportunities into salesforce, provide on-going activity update and routing all discount requests to Executive Director Sales
- Support management for coordination of meetings, with dealers and end customers.
- Occasionally, may be required to provide onsite technical support or other tasks that may be needed on an temporary basis from time to time.
- Call on End customers, Key Accounts, Crestron dealers, potential dealer, others to support their technical teams, providing product demonstrations, system design assistance and technical training
- Design and implement demonstration systems
- Elaborate and present the AV solution and system for our Sales team and customers.
- Work closely with the Sales team to support their initiatives.
- Provide on-site assistance support to Crestron's dealers and customers at a pre-sales discussion stage or as requested by the sales team
- Ensure all customers receive world-class support.
Required Competencies
- Sales Experience
- 5 years A/V experience in a highly competitive market
- An ability to work, plan & execute independently.
- Excellent presentation skills and a strong understanding of corporate culture.
- Self-starter with proven ability to constantly learn new software and hardware technologies and an ability to quickly put that learning into practice in support of highly visible real-world projects.
- A clear understanding of the company's play & positioning in the technology space.
- Understanding of Audio & Visual Control system integration field knowledge or equivalent experience in Audio Visual skillset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio applications.
- Experience with drafting software like AutoCAD.
- Good basic understanding of Ethernet networking technologies and protocols pertaining to commercial AV systems integration.
- Exposure in Unified Collaboration, Video Conferencing, Conference and Board Room presentation systems preferred and good to have related certifications (eg. Microsoft Teams Rooms Technical Solution Professional, Teams Meetings and Meeting Rooms Technical Assessment, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Support Engineer Specialty, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate)
- Proficiency with, and knowledge of, streaming video protocols and technologies including H.264/H.265, Multicast and Unicast RTSP are added advantage.
- Good to have experience with industry leading audio DSPs as applied to AV systems integration.
- Good to have experience with integrating commercial technologies including, Lighting, HVAC, Distributed Audio/Video, Security and Surveillance Systems.
- Fluency in English
Work location can be either Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi
