Must have
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst in fintech, banking, or a BaaS/SaaS environment
- Has experience related to cyber security.
- Strong understanding of APIs, data models, and system integrations.
Good to have
- Exposure to cloud-based or on prem platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with ISO 20022, ISO 8583, or other financial data standards.
- Experience working with digital onboarding, virtual IBANs, card issuance, and payment gateways.
- Understanding of financial compliance frameworks (KYC, AML, GDPR).
- Able to communicate in Japanese.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Work with internal stakeholders (product, compliance, sales) and external clients (banks, fintechs) to gather business and functional requirements.
- Analyse existing workflows and define business processes for digital banking services (e.g. onboarding, payments, card issuance, KYC/AML).
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for new feature requests.
API & Technical Documentation
- Define and document REST / SOAP API requirements (request/response formats, error codes, authentication).
- Maintain and update API specs (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger) and collaborate with developers on implementation.
- Support data mapping and transformation between systems.
Solution Design & Integration
- Create end-to-end user journeys and integration flows (using tools like Postman, Swagger, or BPMN modelers).
- Participate in solution design discussions and help align tech teams with business goals.
- Liaise with third-party providers (e.g., KYC vendors, payment processors) for integration specifications.
Compliance & Security Support
- Translate compliance requirements (e.g., AML, PCI-DSS, PSD2) into actionable technical specifications.
- Work closely with InfoSec to ensure data privacy and regulatory alignment in platform features.
