About Pandora Vietnam:
Pandora's new jewellery crafting facility is located in the Vietnam–Singapore Industrial Park III (VSIP III), about 40 km north of Ho Chi Minh City. When fully scaled, the state-of-the-art facility will produce up to 60 million jewellery pieces annually and employ around 7,000 craftspeople. It is powered entirely by renewable energy and built to LEED Gold certification standards.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead calibration, inspection, and measurement activities across production processes, ensuring measuring equipments, precious metal content, and in-house components meet applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations. You will also drive continuous improvement by introducing effective methods, tools, and technologies to enhance measurement reliability, process efficiency, and team productivity.
Beyond technical responsibilities, you will lead and develop a team through training, coaching, and capability development, while fostering strong collaboration across functions and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Calibration, Inspection & Measurement:
- Supervise and control the calibration of measuring instruments, equipment, and machinery in accordance with applicable calibration standards and plans to ensure the reliability and confidence of the measurement system.
- Control the measurement of precious metal content from the internal granulation process in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Supervise the inspection of in-house plastic components, stamped components, and alternative-process items to ensure conformity with defined quality requirements and customer expectations.
- Develop and implement appropriate calibration, inspection, and measurement plans based on risk levels and process requirements.
- Communicate, verify, and follow up on corrective actions for non-conformities with relevant teams to drive continuous quality improvement.
- Control, develop, and continuously improve calibration, inspection, and measurement processes to ensure products meet defined quality standards.
- Manage resources effectively, including manpower, tools, equipment, and other resources required for quality control activities.
- Supervise team operations to ensure activities are conducted using the correct methods, according to approved plans, with transparency, consistency, and reliability.
- Provide clear and accurate guidance to the team on product quality criteria, measurement requirements, and inspection standards.
- Identify and introduce new tools, equipment, methods, and technologies to improve calibration, inspection, and measurement processes, reduce processing time, and enhance team productivity, efficiency, and measurement reliability.
2. People Development:
- Plan and conduct training on product quality, calibration, inspection, and measurement methods to ensure team members understand applicable procedures, instructions, and quality standards.
- Control and supervise team operations to ensure compliance with company policies, work plans, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Establish and maintain a timely refresher training plan to continuously strengthen the team's technical knowledge and working practices.
- Assess team members capabilities and potential, and develop their competencies to support effective collaboration with other departments.
- Coach and provide ongoing feedback to team members to strengthen technical expertise, problem-solving capabilities, and overall performance.
Job Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in Calibration and Measurement systems, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven Team management and Leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, coach, motivate, and develop team members effectively.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and technical presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
- Strong logical thinking, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to identify, resolve, and prevent recurring quality issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Strong follow-up skills, resourcefulness, and ownership in managing and resolving quality-related issues.
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to embrace change and new challenges.
- Fluent English communication skill.
