Our client is a leading education institution who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm.
Job description:
- Financial & Operational Leadership: Manage annual and long-term budgets, resource allocation, and staffing plans for Student Affairs. Oversee fiscal accountability while aligning operations with institutional priorities.
- Staff Training & Development: Lead staff evaluations, professional development programs, and training initiatives to build a high-performing Student Affairs team.
- Strategic Planning: Develop short- and long-term operational plans, including program design and budget forecasting, in collaboration with College and University leadership.
- Student Support & Policy Guidance: Advise students on University and College policies, assist with problem resolution, and provide guidance to students with disabilities while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Campus Culture & Engagement: Partner with College and University leaders to foster a student culture rooted in E.X.C.E.L values, celebrating diversity, inclusion, and respect across the campus community.
- Crisis & Emergency Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish emergency readiness plans and coordinate student crisis response.
- Student Health & Wellness: Work with the College of Health Sciences and other partners on protocols, resources, and initiatives that support student health and mental health services.
- Student Conduct & Grievance Resolution: Provide leadership in guiding students through grievance processes, non-academic disciplinary matters, and issues related to the student code of conduct.
- Data & Student Experience Analytics: Lead the collection and analysis of student experience data, monitor satisfaction levels, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in student services.
- Publications & Communication: Oversee the development and publication of the Student Guide/Handbook to ensure clear communication of student policies, resources, and expectations.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in a relevant academic discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership in higher education, ideally in student affairs or student development.
- Proven experience in administration, fiscal planning, resource allocation, and personnel supervision within an academic setting.
- Strong background in student affairs and university life, with demonstrated success navigating institutional challenges.
- Ability to build opportunities and foster collaboration in a new or evolving university environment, aligned with institutional mission and vision.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Deep understanding of the mission, philosophy, and operations of private universities.
- Student-centered approach with comprehensive knowledge of student services and university life.
- Skilled in budget management, fiscal accountability, and strategic planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills; able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication in both English and Vietnamese.
