Job Description
About the Role
One30 Bio is a biotechnology company developing novel therapeutics. We're looking for a scientifically grounded, hands-on associate to develop presentations, research opportunities and help drive strategic projects forward.
Working directly with the senior management team, you'll turn complex scientific and commercial information into clear materials, support discussions with clinical experts and manage the follow-through across key projects. This role suits someone with 1–3 years of experience who combines analytical thinking, strong communication and reliable execution.
Key responsibilities
1. Presentations and strategic projects
- Develop clear, compelling decks, briefing notes and supporting analyses for investor, partner, expert and internal discussions
- Help shape the narrative, translating scientific, clinical and commercial information into concise messages and recommendations
- Support strategic initiatives and investor or partner diligence through research, analysis and preparation of decision materials
- Ensure claims, charts and references are accurate, well sourced and consistent, incorporating feedback carefully
2. Disease-area and opportunity research
- Research disease biology, unmet patient needs, treatment pathways, emerging therapies and the competitive landscape
- Critically review scientific literature and clinical trial results, assessing their strengths, limitations and implications
- Support clinical development planning through research into patient populations, endpoints and trial designs
- Prepare briefing materials, discussion guides and questions for clinicians, key opinion leaders and advisers
- Synthesise expert feedback, highlighting areas of agreement, differing perspectives and unanswered questions
- Help evaluate therapeutic and commercial opportunities and frame development options for senior review
3. Project management
- Maintain project plans, timelines, milestones and action trackers across strategic and clinical development projects
- Coordinate activities and inputs across internal colleagues, external experts and project partners
- Track deliverables, dependencies and outstanding decisions, following through on agreed actions
- Keep documentation organised, provide concise progress updates and flag risks or delays early
What we're looking for
- A degree in life sciences, biotechnology, biomedical science, medicine, pharmacy or a related discipline; a science/biotech background is essential
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, scientific research, life sciences consulting or a related analytical or project role
- Ability to assess scientific evidence critically and explain complex findings clearly
- Strong writing, presentation and spreadsheet skills, including hands-on deck development
- Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment and dependable follow-through
- Comfort managing several priorities, learning unfamiliar topics and taking ownership in a small team
- Exposure to clinical development, expert engagement or investor and partnering materials would be helpful.
What success looks like
Presentations communicate a clear story, research informs decisions, and projects progress with clear ownership and timely follow-through.
