Strategic Sales Manager – Vietnam (Air & Ocean Freight)
We are seeking a senior, strategic‑minded Strategic Sales Manager to drive significant revenue growth by acquiring and expanding high‑value forwarding and logistics customers in Vietnam.
This role focuses on large, strategically sized accounts across priority industry sectors with strong annual revenue potential. You will combine deep air and ocean freight expertise with a consultative, long‑term growth mindset, positioning Visy as a trusted strategic partner in sustainable supply chain optimisation.
You will bring an established industry network, craft compelling value propositions, and close large, complex deals through close collaboration with Visy's global BDM network and cross‑functional teams including Group Business Solutions, IT, Product, Centralised Operations Excellence (CoE), Legal, Compliance, and HSSE.
Key Responsibilities
- Win new strategic Air & Ocean Freight customers across Retail & Lifestyle, Industrial, Technology, Chemical, FMCG, and Automotive sectors, targeting US$1m+ annual revenue opportunities
- Take a consultative, solution‑led approach, advising customers on resilient and sustainable logistics solutions aligned to Visy's circular economy principles
- Own the end‑to‑end sales cycle for large, complex opportunities — from prospecting and solution design through to negotiation and contract close
- Build trusted relationships with C‑suite, VP, and senior Supply Chain leaders to drive long‑term growth and account expansion
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Product, IT, Legal, Compliance, and HSSE to deliver tailored, compliant, and high‑value customer solutions
- Track market and competitor trends in Vietnam to identify new opportunities and strengthen Visy's market position
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and reporting within CRM systems (Salesforce / SFDC)
- Represent Visy Vietnam Logistics at industry events and networking forums to build brand presence and generate high‑quality leads
What You'll Bring
- 5–8 years success in freight forwarding or 3PL sales, including strategic or key account management and closing US$1M+ deals
- A strong existing decision‑maker network in Vietnam across Retail, Industrial, Technology, Chemical, FMCG, and Automotive sectors
- Proven ability to win complex, multi‑stakeholder air & ocean freight opportunities in competitive markets
- A strategic, consultative mindset with focus on long‑term, value‑driven customer relationships
- Bilingual Vietnamese and English, with confident senior‑level negotiation and presentation skills
- A results‑driven hunter who collaborates effectively to convert large opportunities into long‑term partnerships
