About the role
We're looking for a SQL Application Support Engineer to join our team and play a key role in keeping our applications and data running smoothly.
In this role, you'll work closely with different teams to investigate issues, analyze data, and make sure everything works reliably in production. If you enjoy solving problems, working with data, and digging into root causes — this could be a great fit for you.
What you'll be doing
- Investigate and resolve application and data-related issues in production
- Analyze data discrepancies and identify root causes using SQL
- Write SQL queries to extract, validate, and troubleshoot data
- Perform data checks, verification, and reconciliation
- Fix data issues where possible or escalate to the right teams when needed
- Work with stored procedures for troubleshooting and minor enhancements
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Operations teams to resolve issues quickly
- Document findings, root causes, and solutions clearly for future reference
What we're looking for
Must-have
- Experience in Application Support / Production Support / Data Support
- Solid SQL skills (comfortable writing queries for analysis and troubleshooting)
- Good understanding of relational databases (tables, relationships, data flow)
- Basic knowledge of stored procedures (reading and understanding logic)
- Experience working with incident/ticket-based systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Good communication skills — able to explain issues clearly and collaborate with stakeholders
Nice to have
- Ability to write or optimize stored procedures independently
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Experience in data validation or reconciliation
- Exposure to reporting systems or data processing environments
