ABOUT THE ROLE
Maxify is building AI systems that complete real business workflows reliably.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to turn business processes into production AI agents. You will own workflow logic, integrations, testing and measurable outcomes, using shared platform capabilities rather than rebuilding infrastructure.
This is a hands-on software engineering role—not simply prompt writing or building chatbot demonstrations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand users, operational problems, sources of truth and expected business value before building.
- Translate business processes into clear states, actions, decisions, approvals and exception paths.
- Build AI agents that complete business workflows end-to-end.
- Develop tools, structured outputs and context-management strategies.
- Integrate APIs, databases, webhooks and enterprise systems.
- Use deterministic code when model-driven behaviour is unnecessary or unsafe.
- Create evaluations covering task completion, accuracy, safety and business outcomes.
- Implement monitoring, exception handling, escalation and human-review paths.
- Investigate failures and turn recurring problems into tests, safeguards or platform improvements.
- Measure improvements in speed, quality, cost and customer experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong production software engineering skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Experience building LLM applications, agents or substantial workflow automation.
- Practical experience with APIs, webhooks, databases and asynchronous processing.
- Ability to translate ambiguous operational needs into explicit system behaviour.
- Understanding of tool calling, structured outputs, retrieval and model limitations.
- Experience testing both deterministic and model-driven systems.
- Strong debugging skills across code, instructions, data, tools and external services.
- Sound judgment about when to use AI, conventional code or human approval.
- Ownership of results and the ability to connect engineering work to measurable business outcomes.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, OpenClaw or similar frameworks.
- Experience integrating Lark/Feishu, Shopify, CRM or accounting systems.
- Experience building workflow automation or operations-heavy products.
- Familiarity with knowledge graphs, ontology design or governed memory.
HOW YOU WILL WORK
Use AI development tools to accelerate implementation, testing, debugging and documentation while verifying outputs and retaining engineering ownership.
