The role of the Researcher is to remain up-to-date in the property sector and be on top of all transactional data and any information that might affect any particular sector within the industry. The role will involve preparing/supporting the production of quality quarterly and bespoke research reports as may be required locally or internationally. Through effective systems and time management the researcher will be able to complete all tasks as allocated. The researcher will work closely with the directors of the firm in maintaining client relationships through providing quality customer service and exceptional report standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and manage data collection (via internet, phone interviews, site inspections, proprietary sources/database, articles, news) on assigned destinations and analyze market trends and incorporate findings into presentations, reports and white papers.
- Responds to ad hoc internal and external client requests for data, graphs, commentary, etc.
- Produce quarterly market research reports as assigned.
- Assists in preparing financial and other analysis for a range of deliverables, including market plans, scenario options, process improvements, management practices, business unit communications.
- Assists in the development and completion of strategic real estate plans by working with cross functional internal real estate teams to develop innovative real estate strategies to meet business unit real estate requirements. Strategies could include initiatives that reduce the cost and maximize the value of the client&aposs existing real estate portfolio.
- Conducts, synthesizes, and presents research on industry best practice, benchmarks, and other issues of concern to the client and prepares preliminary recommendations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Managerial level is responsible for:
- Reviews and evaluates collected data results, ensures property data inputs are of the highest quality, makes appropriate recommendations.
- Manages broker requests for data / research information, supports and responds to ad hoc internal requests timely and ensuring that relevant data are provided.
- Manage and lead preparation and production of project/client presentations and reports, as well as the quarterly Market Report.
- Coordinates, manages, and leads projects regionally as well as nationally as required by senior management. Projects may include preparing financial and other analysis for a range of deliverables, including market plans, scenario options, process improvements, management practices, business unit communications.
- Coordinates, manages, and leads development and completion of strategic real estate plans by working with cross functional internal real estate teams to develop innovative real estate strategies to meet business unit real estate requirements. Strategies could include initiatives that reduce the cost and maximize the value of the client&aposs existing real estate portfolio.
- May prepare progress reports on the status of projects.
- Create proposals, capabilities statements, track records and other materials necessary for submission to clients in a timely fashion.
- Assists in the day-to-day operations of the department, including overseeing staff, recruiting, and tracking performance.
- Accompanies sales professionals as needed on client presentations and pitches.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor&aposs degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Expertise in corporate finance preferred with 2 years of related experience. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience for managerial level.
- IT literate and internet savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- High level of proficiency in written English and Vietnamese.
- Able to undertake business travel domestically and overseas.
- Overtime work during the peak seasons might be required.
- Good organization and planning skill to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
