I. Role Description
1. Research and Analysis
- Cover 4-6 companies within the assigned sector, publishing detailed research reports and updates.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses.
2. Quality Standards
- Ensure research reports meet high standards for forecast accuracy (minimum 85%) and writing quality (actionable, concise, persuasive).
- Incorporate client feedback and internal reviews to improve report quality.
3. Market Updates
- Publish timely updates on market-moving events and quarterly sector reports.
- Provide insights on industry trends and emerging opportunities
4. Client Support
- Participate in client meetings and calls to present findings and address queries.
- Deliver quick and accurate follow-ups to client requests.
- Provide research support to other departments, such as investment banking, wealth management, and asset management, for special project
5. Relationship Building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with management teams of companies in the sector
- Develop connections with industry and trade association groups to enhance research insights.
6. Reputation and Branding
- Establish a strong personal reputation in the investment community by showcasing expertise through research, presentations, and thought leadership.
7. Team Collaboration
- Review and mentor the work of analysts to ensure consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with manager to align research activities with strategic goals.
II. Experiences & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Typically 2-5+ years of relevant experience in research roles or related fields
- Experience covering specific industry sectors with depth and expertise (Banking & Real Estate)
- Progress toward CFA designation & Track record of accurate stock recommendations and investment theses preferred
III. Required Technical & Soft Skills
- Deep understanding of specific sectors (Banking & Finance, Real Estate...) and regulatory knowledge relevant to covered sectors
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Financial Modeling and Excel.
- Proficiency with financial data platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ)
- Strong written and verbal communication (both in Vietnamese and English)
- Ability to synthesize complex information
- Networking capabilities with industry contacts
