Senior Mobile Automation Tester with Appium, BDD cucumber, API Testing

Job Title- Senior Mobile QA Engineer

Location- Chennai / Bangalore / Hyderabad (or as per business requirement)

Roles And Responsibilities-

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and exploratory testing on Android and iOS applications.
• Validate application functionality against business and technical requirements.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and UX teams to ensure quality deliverables.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality risks.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.
• Conduct mobile compatibility testing across different devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and network conditions.
• Execute performance, accessibility, and security testing for mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts using standard automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and release readiness assessments.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and drive best practices in mobile testing.
  
  

Qualifications & Required Skills-

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Assurance.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Mobile Application Testing.
• Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience testing Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
