With the vision of changing the way people feel about insurance, FWD Vietnam has been leading the market in offering innovative, customer-led product propositions, driving success of sales channels and addressing the different needs of Vietnamese customers.
The Product Proposition Management (PPM) Senior Manager will be assisting the Head of Product Proposition and Chief Strategy Officer in managing the product development calendar than ensure effective delivery of product propositions based on multiple requests of different distribution channels.
Incumbent of this role will need to have a consumer centric mind-set, a strategic thinker, an independent leader with influencing/communication skills and the ability to drive implementation of multiple product initiatives across the organization.

THE JOB:

  • Lead the preparation for PMC to ensure timely decision making.

  • With support from Product Proposition Head, manage the Product portfolio to ensure competitive edge of FWD products with industry and delivery of key financial metrics for company.

  • Own the Product Development Process (PDP) and manage the end-to-end PDP, which includes the coordination of all functional departments in implementing product development projects to ensure timely delivery of product projects. Specific responsibilities include:

1.Act as the master project manager for assigned product projects, covering all phases, engaging all stakeholders.

2.Collaborate with Product Proposition Design (PPD) and Actuarial to conduct analysis to justify product designs and formulate business case for PMC agreement.

3.Develop product approval reports (PAR) and follow up the approval process by local PMC and Group Office.

4.Develop product materials (T&C, Sales Illustrations).

5.Assist with addressing regulator's requests during product approval process.

6.Prepare product business specifications and participate in the process of developing product operational specifications (OP Specs) and system requirements.

7.Jointly (with PPD) develop training materials and deliver product training to trainers/back-office staff collaborate with PPD, Training and Distribution teams to organize product workshops regularly to address product related questions from sales force and enhance their product knowledge.

8.Be responsible for the monthly Product Management Committee (PMC) meetings / GO meetings preparation for product development/management decisions.

9.Conduct product analysis to provide insights for PMC decision and for effective portfolio management.

10.Collaborate with PPD team to prepare product market intelligence updates regularly.

THE PERSON:

  • University Degree in a business-related discipline.

  • Above 5 years working experience in product development, product marketing for financial service industry.

  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.

  • Innovative and willing to explore new things.

  • Able to work well with a wide range of people from different parts of the business.

  • Energetic and passionate about their product speciality.

  • Able to work well under pressure.

  • Fluently in speaking and writing English and Vietnamese.

  • Good analytical skills - ability to work with numbers, facts effectively.

  • Good organization and time/project management.

  • Good writing and presentation skills.

  • Good understanding of life insurance operational and technical areas is an advantage.
